Ancient Distillation Equipment

Crafts & Musings

Some of the other Crafts I engage in and enjoy working on are included here. Many of these I discovered before stumbling unto alchemy, yet all very related to it funnily.

Perfumery
I have always loved perfume since I was young, since both my parents used it daily. The complexity of the scent and the images it evokes, the tangible effect upon ones aura all enamored me deeply enough that at one point I got my first distillation equipment and dove into exploring essential oils, their origin, making and use in perfume.

I have a few creations aged between 6-12 months now and might put some of them up for sale in the store soon.

Silversmithing

Another Hobby I got into, was teaching myself how to silversmith. This came from a fascination of gemstones and crystals and also a strong attraction to silver for some reason. I was obsessed about it having to be pure, so much so that all the jewelry I made was crafted using only .999 Silver which is not recommended by most experts, rightly so to some extent, since it is very soft and easily damaged or bent.

Nonetheless while the pieces are ever so slightly more delicate, they do have a beautiful color which you won’t find in a piece made out of Sterling Silver. Pure Silver has a sheen of radiating whiteness to it, which is most luxurious to behold and truly manifests the essence of the moon in its appearance and emanation.

Of the Stone I worked with most, is Labradorite.

A magical stone which has captured within itself the very essence of the Aurora Borealis.
I would have loved to work with emeralds, but a small sized cabochon of good quality costs a fortune, if I ever get one I will be making a ring for myself first.

I still have several pieces which I’ve made available and will be adding those to the shop as well.
